Tank maintenance day yesterday,
Had a disaster in the 350 as added 2 extra bags of ceramic media to the filter which will eventually be taken out and put in new tank, but had a blonde moment and forgot to rinse them first, I really should know better, so now I have a whole heap of suspended particles in the water, should think I will do another water change today to calm things down
Otherwise is looks ok, could not see anything amiss with the rainbows so assume the silly one must have recovered, the plants in the RH corner look a bit worse for wear as they have been sat under the extra logs but should recover ok now, here's how it looks at the minute,

The 180 is doing fine,
Added log 3 back in so pleco is happy again,
lost a deformed hovering loach 2 days ago, they are so small when you buy them it's hard to tell but this one was always small and thin, then as it grew got increasingly deformed, tried to fish it out once before with no success, was going to have another go yesterday but no need in the end, all of the others look big and fat and happy, in better news managed to get the shop to throw in a few ember tetras for free when I ordered the tank - if you don't ask you don't get! The others seem happy to have a few more friends,
one of my fat happy loachies,

lots going on in the last few days, new tank on order so met up with a friend at Wharf Aquatics to get the remaining hardware that I needed, good job that shop is too far away to go often, did not intend to buy any fish but in the end could not resist some corys, they were labelled as Simulatus not everyone would like them as they are a bit of a mud brown colour, but I really like the size and elegant shape of them also I quite like subtle colours, have decided to try and stick to online ordering as much as possible for a while as do not need any more fish! Did post some pictures on another thread but better put a couple on here as well

When I get some time will have to split this thread up into 3 for the different tanks, think that will be easier but not today since it's a 'school night'
Shop was very helpful getting tank into position and helping me set up the filter (fx4) it's why I went back there for this tank, it's been many years since I've had any dealings with an external filter so it was a relief to get help in setting it up, spent the day sorting and re arranging the lounge to fit it in so existing tanks will have to be done another day, did get the background on later but will have to wait now until I can check it's level before doing anything else, shop caught me out a bit with delivery was expecting a good 4wk wait but it's only been 1 week! Here is how it looks now :)

Thanks @Fishtales is a nice bit of furniture, had been saving for a while luckily don't have any other expensive hobbies or it would have been tricky, won't have much time to do anything with it for a little while but happy to just stare at it as it is for the next week or so, should give me time to get used to it being in the room, hope things are going well with your new fish :)

Blimey Martin how many endlers have you got?!
Would look good mind or a humongous school of neon tetras
No tricky stocking decisions needed though, it is already earmarked for the Blue Rainbows and scissortails already in my 350, can't wait to see them in there :)

About 25 to 30 but with no encouragement they would soon fill the aquarium for you... they're good at that. 😉
