Hi all,
Looking to see what experience people have of keeping blue rams in a community?
From what I read depending on where you get them they can be extremely fragile but I've always fancied giving them a go.
I have Bolivian rams at the moment and I'm considering switching to a warmer temp setup but I don't want to rehome my Bolivians then find out the Blues don't last.
PS my tank is understocked and my water is soft up in Scotland.
Any thoughts?
Cheers
Blue Rams

Blue Rams want a temperature of 80+, so it all depends what the other species are...

I've never kept Blue Ramirezi, although for a short period I did have a friends Yellow Rams, as tank sprung a leak with some Guppies and Tetras during a hot summer where the water temperature was in the mid 80's.
Cardinal Tetra and Bleeding Heart Tetras come to mind for warmer temperatures.

Thinking of a tank full of cardinals and a couple of blue rams, but I do like Bolivians too, so indecisive!Martinspuddle wrote: ↑Tue Mar 17, 2020 21:33 pm I've never kept Blue Ramirezi, although for a short period I did have a friends Yellow Rams, as tank sprung a leak with some Guppies and Tetras during a hot summer where the water temperature was in the mid 80's.
