I did wonder what fish was being called a cello, then I realised it was in the General forum......
No, they're stringed instruments and I don't get on with them.
As a note, my snare is on the left of the kit (right handed), I've never had one between my knees, even when I jammed with a jazz band that didn't need a full kit........(they didn't play modern jazz, just trad). I didn't enjoy playing that much as I don't use the snare very often anyway as a rule, just not heavy enough.
The cello!

Our main drummer is much better than me. He sounds like he has about 8 arms! I just use the high hat and snare, the two toms in front of me and the floor Tom, then the two big cymbals - one at the right side and the one to the left diagonally if u know what I mean. Oh, and the base with me foot! He uses more and shakes a shaker sometimes with one hand, while playing the full kit with the other!!plankton wrote: ↑Sat Sep 12, 2020 10:48 am I did wonder what fish was being called a cello, then I realised it was in the General forum......

As you know I’m a bassist not a cellist...so i can offer nothing other than that
To the tune of “the saints go marching in”:
Oh fluffy sheep! Oh fluffy sheep! Oh fluffy sheep are wonderful, they’re white Welsh and fluffy! Oh fluffy sheep are wonderful!

True, at least 4 on a bass
Thinking about it I’d probably be able to get something out of a cello if i dont have to use the bow, the neck is fretless isnt it?

A fellow bass player, nice. Well I say I'm a bass player, I don't play in a band or anything, just general noodling at homeGingerlove05 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 12, 2020 22:29 pm As you know I’m a bassist not a cellist...so i can offer nothing other than that
