Not having a non-return valve could lead to water escaping, hence my question.

I did wonder that first. The airline does have a non-return valve, but I didn't check the direction to be honest. The air stone was working full-pelt initially so I wonder if it was stuck open in reverse and then closed at some point. The air pump doesn't seem strong on that outlet any more so wondering if the blockage may have damaged the pump/ diaphragm inside. I've just left the other outlet attached for now and it's annoyingly noisey, but functional for the sponge filter at least.Stephen wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 8:10 amHi Si
Do you have a non-return valve on the air line? Is it the correct way around?
I recently added air pumps, air lines etc.. to my aquariums and had one non-return valve the wrong way around, reversed it and all was well.
I have a new Juwel Lido 120 and the water level is up to the wood effect canopy, you can't see the water line.
On my big tank the water level is the same, up to the wood effect canopy so that you don't quite see the water line.
I can just make out the water line if I look very closely.
Just a thought
I'll have a look for a full mark. That would be very helpful!plankton wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 9:23 am Has the "full mark" been removed?
There should be one just above (a matter of a couple of millimetres) the bottom of the top "wood".
I've been looking at this thread for weeks now trying to work out what's wrong and I've just got it! Tigers are Asian, and I don't think there's ever been a record of them being found in Africa, although there is (or at least was) an Asian lion.......
A real beauty Si
