I just checked ebay it's not too bad on there £10 for non braided and £15 for braided. Both food grade and 15 metres. Free postage.

Wish I checked there before buying mine off amazon!

Tank moved and black background applied, looks bubbly at the minute as I had to do a massive water change to get it sorted. Think it looks better but not sure yet, I'll get a better idea in the morning when the water has settled.

Nevermind a beer, I need a vodka after that 😂. so stressful.

Cheers all

@Andys temperate tank That's the one thing I'm happy with, noticed a lot more colour out the fish as well as the plants, especially the ludwigia which actually looks red now lol. Just not seeing the extra depth that a black background is supposed to give the illusion of. I think that might be down to the fact my wood is so dark. Think a nice big piece or two of gnarled manzanita wood a lighter stone instead of the black lava rock might fix that.

I thought the plants were doing nothing then I saw a picture of when I added the new substrate, which doesn't seem that long ago, such a difference, especially the moss ROFL

Black back ground has definitely improved the look. The moss looks brilliant how it's set out like that, I really like it

New wood in today, looks a bit better I think but the wood has reduced the flow quite a bit, it's huge and bigger than it looks in the picture lol.. think I'll put the wavemaker back in to help with that but cover it with netting this time so I don't lose another fish. Despite the bigger wood though I do think there's more mid level space for the fish to swim in.
