Sorry haven't been around much, work has been crazy. I'm starting to get used to the tank and grown to like it without plants. I got rid of the fake plants, don't know what I was thinking really, they were never going to live up to real ones. So it's sand and drift wood now. I have a powerhead coming tomorrow as the fish have grown very big very quickly and their poo has also and collects in large piles. Quite happy with the balance of the fish in there, no fights or over aggression and they are becoming very tame with half, including Oscars and parrots actively swimming into my hand and allowing me to stroke and hold. I still have the dolphin lodging in the tank, he shouldn't be in there and I know I've got to move him on, but it's difficult at the moment. He's actually doing really well and getting on with everyone, I have the QT tank if I need to take drastic action quickly. The pH is at 7.0 so in the middle for all of them.
The tank....
Polar parrot
Oscars have grown at an unbelievable rate, the biggest about 9 inches now and that's about 3 months!
Vieja sypsilum is growing nicely
Severum just starting to get his colour

Looks like I'm going to lose my green severum. He had an ulcer on the join between tail fin and body a few weeks ago that I treated and seemed to be better, but today he has a big patch on his shoulder where he's sore. Definitely not a bite as it's pretty much square, I'm think maybe scraped himself on something, heaters are all covered so not a burn. He's hiding up in the corner, he's safe up there and nothing will bother him. I've just fed the tank but he hasn't moved. I will start a course of melafix once they've finished eating and hope he gets better.
