The males develop a deeper colour than females, the fish one the far right of the image looks to be a male.

In your picture, the one on far right does look a deeper orange which indicate a developing male. After eight months of keeping them on their own and knowing most fish start as females it's entirely possible one maybe changing sex.

However having just watched your video they are all definitely female at the moment. I'd leave where they are in the 20 litre and see what happens.

You'll have to see if there's a lonely hearts club for Pygmy golden swordtails in the local small ads.

They're in the 40 with my shrimp now actually but I'll see what happens and if they grow out a bit more and develop

Worth noting I did add a filter to the pic btw

It's one thing after the other with these guys...
Ammonia 0, nitrite 0

Does it look like a graze?

Looks more like ammonia poisoning as it's by the gills......unless they've been fighting. Most fish will go for the gills during a fight.

This one is all better now.. now another one is doing some dodgy swimming this evening..
not sure if it bumped into the glass as I turned the light on, but it seems to be darting around, getting to the place it wants eventually but in zigzag motions.. stays still fine but almost darting on its side sometimes..

any idea? I'm here fearing the worst because i witnessed the last one of these pass away doing similar, only on the substrate and not going anywhere :s
