I removed some of the build up at the bottom, removed some of the gravel and gave it a bit of a water change as a lot of leaves were at the bottom and causing it to go a bit brown.
I’ve left the pocket dirt as it’s full of scuds, bloodworm, snails and mosquito larvae.

I think I’m going to have to trim the creeping Jenny as it’s really going for it now!

I’ve done a 50% water change on the pond this morning as it was getting a bit green and full of pidgin ! Filled it until it started overflowing and added some Seachem safe . Seen the first dragonfly enjoying the pond but didn’t manage to get a picture this time round.

That creeping jenny looks great, I'm not brave enough to try a water Lilly although I know you can get dwarf ones, I like your fallen log

Mines a dwarf one, the red leaves are about the size of an aquarium tiger lotus. It’s so cute

It’s nice to see the bugs making use of the bug hotel, especially the little bees

The creeping Jenny is full of flowers and even creeping into the pond! The dwarf bullrush is doing much better this year as well. Not much in the way of life other than water beetles, scuds, snails and the odd boatman.
I have seen plenty of bees, damsel flies and pigeons using it though

You could easily sell bits of the Creeping Jenny…it’s going out of stock absolutely everywhere (I hopefully have the last two bits from one stockist coming next week after the original order couldn’t be fulfilled elsewhere). Looks great

thanks. No idea why it’s hard to come by at the moment, unless a lot of people are building ponds/rockeries.
