Zarra came home with a small marine fish tank and half a bag of very white sand from a friend at work today.
I have no idea what brand it is. Theres some stones in one compartment under a sponge, some sort of bottle that has a min/max waterline and a couple of pumps, what looks like a breather pipe and a heater.
Any ideas what sort of light I'd need and what could I keep in it? I'd say it's about 50l total but 30% is taken up by the filtration system.
I can get RO water from work if that helps.
I have a very small marine tank.

Looks interesting. Was it free? If so, even nicer!
Most marine tanks have overhead lights but they need to be bright for corals etc.
I leave details to those who have kept marines before.
Can you get a pic of the filter housing and workings without the reflections?

Cheers martin. I think zarra said the stones in the filter compartment are live rock.Martinspuddle wrote: Tue Nov 03, 2020 9:34 am One to two KG's of live rock, small Mushroom Anemones, Button Polyps, Pulsing Xenia and Zoanthids. Or do you mean rocks as part of the display section?

@Andys temperate tank I was thinking of the Betta Lifespace range.
The 'bottle' with the pumps and 'breather' is a skimmer You should have a cone shape bit going up to a 'cup' which collects the skim ( this stinks btw )
