Keyhole cichlids are great.
I had two pair up and lay eggs on a flat stone when I had some a few (several) years ago

Afternoon all, hope we find you all well.
Karen and I have decided to give our engine room an upgrade, both the Eheim Pro+4 600's are being replaced by a pair of Oase BioMaster Thermo 850's, and our Co2 regulator being replaced with a better quality Co2 Art Pro Elite twin regulator one. This means we can take out our inline heaters, and in tank pre-filters, as these are incorporated inside the Oase filters. The in tank Co2 diffusers will be replaced by inline diffusers. A major undertaking indeed.
Also toying with replacing the standard Juwel lighting with a Fluval Plant 3.0 LED system.
Tank itself is doing very well, and all inhabitants very healthy.

No, just the unit that came with the tank, I did replace one of the strips to a Plant one, but not that impressed. I have looked at the new Juwel LED light systems, but seem very expensive, and the controller is extra I believe.Martinspuddle wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 14:15 pmYour current lighting unit not the latest Juwel LED from them?

Oh, in that case it will worth doing. I do however foresee one issue, with new CO2 and lights ...I'll post you a garden strimmer for Christmas, you both might find it useful.wingnut55 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 14:24 pmNo, just the unit that came with the tank, I did replace one of the strips to a Plant one, but not that impressed. Question:
Does anyone have any experience of the Juwel Helialux Spectrum light system, are they easy enough to programme/setup. Looking at this and the Fluval Plant 3.0, lots of youtube vids on the Plant 3.0, seams very popular and easy enough to programme, but all the vids of the Helialux are non english.
Torn between the Fluval Plant 3.0 and the Jewel Helialux Spectrum, I know the Helialux is roughly £100 more than the Plant 3.0, but is made for my Tank.
Thanks in advance.
