Re: In The Shallows

The older female endlers seem to be dwindling a bit now, and I think I’ve lost one of my older harlequins, which have got to be 7+ years old now. I pulled out a skeleton last night thinking it was the harlequin but after having a count of endlers, I’m down to 3 females with two looking a bit worse ...

Re: Red cherry shrimp eggs

What you have to remember is that fish in the wild never know when the next meal is coming, so they grab what they can when it's available. Aquarium kept fish will always have the same behaviour, so care must given to the amounts they receive. Excess food = Means excess waste, nutrients causes unwan...

Re: DuzMano's Leddy 60XL 72l

Before I get stuck in to building up my substrate, wonder if I could lean on you guys for some advice and guidance... So I have some egg crate, as although I don't have it yet I'm looking at getting quite a large rock which will have a lot of other smaller ones around it, and I read this would help...

Re: Water levels

Thanks, the first went in 12 days ago. White Cloud/gold Mountain Minnow. 24litre tank with filter, heater to keep between 18-23. We are currently 2 weeks in. Do I take it the aquatic / pet store told you this was OK to do this? Unfortunately, many store don't give very good advice to new fishkeeper...

Re: Red cherry shrimp eggs

If the amount poop has increased I'd suggest maybe your feeding them a little much. They do eat everything in just over a minute, and I already worry about the 2 smaller guys that hang around the back when I feed them. Maybe it was just too much of the brine shrimp 🤔 the only visible waste I’ve hoo...

Baby shrimp are more than tiny, less than 2mm and perfect food for nano fish...
Their around .20 of a millimetre when they hatch. ;]

You be surprised how many will survive, especially if your fish are well fed.

That's not the Shrimp poop but from the fish.

Can't remember what you have, Neocaridina shrimp eggs hatch every 28 - 30 days. If your fish are small and the shrimp have plenty of hiding spaces many should survive.
