Re: Hydrophobic coating

What fish do you have and what temp is the tank at? If the tank is running a lot warmer than the room temp then the condensation will be worse.
On the tank I run at 22C I hardly get any condensation, but the warmer ones I get more.

Re: Can you cycle a small tank (fish-in) in a week?

I suggest you use the Safestart or Stability to help finish the cycle.

Re: Can you cycle a small tank (fish-in) in a week?

Welcome to the forum. :) If you already have fish then use something like Tetra Safestart or Seachem Stability alongside the water changes to help build the "munchers" in the filter to cycle. If you don't have fish, the fishless is always the better way to go. Certainly what the shop told ...

Re: Hi All

Greetings :] & welcome to AF-UK my question is how do i distribute the 100's of fish that are in fairness costing a fortune to run. Are you asking between these three aquariums you have, if what sizes are they? They just breed so fast i don't have the heart to flush them down the loo :suprised:...

Re: Galaxy Rasboras

I don't use anything but sand in my tanks for the well-keeping of bottom feeders, so I will always say sand. ;) By the way, putting it on top of gravel can cause anaerobic/anionic bubbles underneath which can hold nasty gasses like hydrogen sulph(f?)ide. I'm not sure you can do anything else for the...

Re: HMA questions?

Welcome to the forum. :) Wherever you live, I find it's always best to keep fish that go with the water in that area. That way you don't have to play with the tapwater and save a lot of time. ;) The only thing I use is a conditioner once the tank is cycled (I, as well as many on here) use the Seache...

Re: Galaxy Rasboras

I don't know the health of fish stock sold in The Netherlands, only in the UK, so it could be that Celestial Pearl Danios (there's no such thing as Galaxy Rasboras, it's a misname in shops) are a poor stock over there perhaps?

Re: Galaxy Rasboras

OK, the black fish is a guppy which you hadn't mentioned. Had you just fed them as his stomach is quite big? I think the plec may be an albino bristlenose if that is the tail in the "cave", that will be too big for a small cube like you have. Can you try and rehome him/her? The corys are o...
