Rodi Tds creep solution

So I was having trouble with my di resin not lasting long enough after doing a bit of research and seeing a few others doing it I added the ability to flush out that initial high tds water from creep, before the di resin. So hopefully fingers crossed it works and I have longer lasting di resin. See ...

Don't get me wrong I love my tropical tanks but I think reefing may have slightly overtaken! Just cultured my first batch of phytoplankton aswell. So much tech in it and I do love my tech.

I bit the bullet and got a bubbletip anemone and it's doing very well 3 weeks on and had chosen its spot. Today I just got a manderinfish aswell so dipping in to the higher l...

Re: External filter recommendations

2nd the fluval 207 or whichever generation of that size. Currently have one filtering my 80litre figure 8 tank and it does the job nicely with good flow.

Re: 2nd opinion on api ammonia test

Sorted i got some bumblebee snails and a couple of clowns. I should say I wasn't just ignoring advice, I appreciate it. I was already at the shop and hadn't seen replies. Hopefully they will do well, the lfs confirmed there was no ammonia so figured it would be okay. Currently acclimating them! http...

Clean up crew seem to be a little more sensitive, any recommendations on hardier clean up crew would be appreciated.

Re: 2nd opinion on api ammonia test

I could maybe do a big water change and then get a pair of clowns knowing they are pretty hardy and then next week or maybe week after get some clean u...

Re: 2nd opinion on api ammonia test

They like to use the redsea ammonia test, I probably should have just bought some of that aswell it can be confusing using when your using 2 different brands.
It was probably about 30 mins from taking sample from my tank to getting to the shop and them getting round to testing it
