Re: Vallis help.

Is there a cycle to it, weekly, monthly, season? Not that I’ve worked out! If anything I suppose it could be seasonal. ::eh:: It's not getting enough continuous nutrients to the plants roots. Hmmmm, this wouldn’t apply to previous tank as that just had plain sand. But this tank has plant substrate....

Re: Where to get live bearers fish that's bred in fresh water.

Please reconsider keeping balloon mollies or any balloon fish. These are bred to have a spinal deformity, meaning their internal organs are compressed and live short painful lives.

Re: Ever feel guilty?

Sitting here tonight, watching my Oscars in the tank and wondered is it cruel? They're truly majestic fish that would probably swim a vast area and it feels a little bit wrong. Re: Vallis help.

My vallis is a bit random - it always goes through stages of growing wildly out of control, then dies back, then goes wild again! I’ve never figured out what motivates it!

Re: Wishafish’s tank log

Unexpected discovery of cherry shrimp babies in the main tank! I have some “culls” in there, ie more boring/wild type shrimp moved over from the nano but I wouldn’t have expected any babies to survive the hoards of Endlers!
