Horrible stuff isn't it.
I've been dosing with liquid carbon with good success so far plus manual removal.

Re: Cyanobacteria
Little update. So I've been redosing ferts and liquid carbon and slowly winning the war on the cyano. The rapid growth has slowed but I feel that I need to get extra flow lower down in the tank as I've had to turn my filters down to accommodate the now huge floating plant mass. Any recommendations o...

Re: Stores near Kettering
I know this is late but you also have Jaws at Willington just off the a421 by Bedford.
It's where I got my red eyed puffers from.
Hobby fish in MK is also worth a pop in if you are passing.

Re: Cyanobacteria
Setup since last April, had no real issues until this showed up and took over. I've ordered some Hygrophila polysperma and will add some floating plants from the snail tank tonight. I normally do 2x 25% changes per week, but I think I will move to daily removal of the Cyano to loosen its hold and re...

Re: Cyanobacteria
On the TNC I bought both so I'll recommence the Lite.
Cheers for that, I get some Hygrophila polysperma to try and out compete this horrible gunk.

Re: Cyanobacteria
I aired on the side of caution with the ferts due to being scared of a algae hostile takeover haha.
I think I will restart dosing my tnc ferts and see what happens.
Any tips for fast growing background plants? (Vallis is a no-no) but my midground Crypts seem to grow great beside this current battle.

I am removing as much as I can when I am water changing but the damn stuff seems to spring straight back daily. I am n...
