Re: YOUTUBE Superstars

I the only thing that annoys me with these channels ks the amount of hard scape materials they stockpile! No wonder it’s impossible to find good bits at sensible prices when they seem to have 5 tonnes of the stuff in their studios 😂

Re: Hydrophobic coating

Nope nothing will work and be safe. Also the plant on left isn’t aquatic.

Re: Can you cycle a small tank (fish-in) in a week?

anything above 0 for nitrite is deadly to fish, so no.. never let the nitrite rise. as soon as you detect some in the tank, do a water change.

Also 25L is too small for tetras and is more suitable for the single betta on its own :)

Re: Hi! New and confused

If its a framed tank base then nothing under it as the frame does the supporting. If its a bare glass base then use a tank mat, styrene, yoga mat etc under it.

Re: API Master Test Kit - Nitrate always zero

Yeah the API test requires a bit of brute force of the bottles before testing!

Re: Hi! New and confused

It should be 5ml because Dr Tims is only 4% last time I checked. I'd start with 2.5ml and test the tank for ammonia and in theory would need to dose again straight away. You want it to be 4ppm of ammonia to start with.
