Re: Sick Venezuelan Cory

Thankyou, I'll get se brine shrimp tomorrow and try feeding them with that. The only issue is that he's not eating at the moment. Although I give flakes to the rummy tetras and Harlequins and algae pellet to the whiptail catfish.

Sick Venezuelan Cory

Hi, Wonder if anybody can help us with a sick Venezuelan Cory. He's currently not eating but seems to have white area's (doesn't seem fury) under the top fin and underneath the eye. I've tried taken the picture (i know its not the best but I've tried to zoom in) when I could get him in shot. PH 6.8 ...

Re: Building Acrylic Tank

@mikeyw64 - Thanks mikeyw64, that's what I thought that I could easily polish out any scratches. I'll look into the plywood option, see if that is more applicable. @jacksdad - Based upon what I've read the thickness of the acrylic is based on height your aquarium is going to be, this could be wrong ...

Re: Building Acrylic Tank

Hi @fr499y, Thanks for the info, I'm not so concerned on the thickness of the acrylic, as the acrylic has a greater clarity over glass. I know that acrylic can scratch easily but it has a higher impact strength over glass and I do have 2 small children so just really covering any potential accidents...

Re: Building Acrylic Tank

Hi Baddams, I certainly keep you informed and I'll take pictures at each phase, i'll post them on here (I'm sure its not going to be easy though). My only struggle is making sure that I order the right acrylic as there is all different kinds. I was hoping that someone has done it before that could p...

Re: Building Acrylic Tank

Hi Baddams, I've been into tropical fishkeeping since 2006. I've been looking at building a acrylic tank for a while as you weld the seems instead of using silicone unlike glass. I've completely renovated the lounge and made my own bespoke cupboards (the intended one for the tank is fixed to the wal...
