Thankfully not all are like that. There’s definitely overcrowding of Java on my main piece of driftwood, but I want the tank to look natural so I rarely trim.

Ahh to be a Cory, resting on a leaf, under a leafy canopy, admiring one’s reflection.

Time to start phasing out the awful white sand (everyone makes one major faux pas with their first tank, right?)

Most of it is dirty and I need to top up anyway, so I’m just going to mix in with whatever I get.

Question is which colour would be more natural looking? I currently have unipac brand sand.

I keep mentioning Unipac Samoa fine sand. (Pro Shrimp link), it's not too light or too dark.
I'm unsure if mixing white sand with any other natural coloured sand will look much different.
I personally would be inclined to remove most of the white sand then top up with your chosen sand.

All the best
