The Tiger Lotus Nymphea Zenkeri bulb is best partially buried for it to take, although not necessary.
When planting this bulb, don’t place it all the way into the substrate as this can result in rot. Instead, push it down about 25-50% of the way and leave the rest sticking out. Once the root systems starts to develop it will soon produce leaves
I successfully had that lovely plant growing a few years back before I changed to south American plants only.

@Stephen on this, need to plant the bulb into the substrate.

Noooo lost one of the massive female amano’s this morning. The wife found it 3m away from the tank by the front door. Must of been trying to do a runner from this heat

Yeah I’ve had them jump out of tanks with gaps around the lids, but never found them this far from the tank before! Incredible how far they can walk out of water.

And a little bit more, now another neon down.
I had 4 amanos last night and can’t see any in the tank but I’ve only found two dead ones.
*edit*
Yup as expected, 3 out of 4 amanos have died in the heat.
