Not too shabby at all! :D
Keep your eye on their barbels, they may damage them on the edges of that gravel. I found sterbai damage themselves on anything, even slate that's been smoothed out......
They really ought to feed on sand, you'll see they'll find it much easier and you can watch the sand coming out of their gills. ;)

Thanks.
I check the barbels everytime I have a watch of them. I've been debating changing the tank up a bit as plant growth is very slow in here.

If I do I'll go for plant substrate capped with sand.

All the pieces are coming together for the upgrade/ rescape.

It's a good job Zarra works for a window company. She got me a new lid made for the tank that will accommodate the glassware.

Theres been a change of plan with the betta tank rescape.

I was going to add the oase filtosmart 100 and rescape the superfish 60 but lately 2 things are annoying me with it. First is the light, it is really poor the only plant that has really grown is the anubias and 2nd thing is I cant look through the length of the tank thanks to the black frame that is around 5 inches wide.

Today I went to horizon to collect my geordie scaper competition prizes. While I was there I put the vouchers toward a new tank.

I just need to wait a couple of weeks till I can get a light to sit on top of it. Might have to wait till my birthday in march depending on what light I go with.

That's great, is it the same size? lights are certainly expensive but I don't think I could look at an empty tank for that long! if you have an LED desk lamp perhaps you could use that just temporary, or is that a bad idea, I am so impatient - do you have an idea of how you will scape it, I'm sure you will have it looking great :)
400l 6ft Asia River Theme - (Scissortails, Tiger Barbs, SAE, Hovering zebra and dwarf chain loach, silver hatchet imposters)
300l 4ft Dagoba theme tank - (phantom tetra, african banded barb, synodontis petricola, gold laser and schwartzi cory)

Cheers Staffy.

Its same 60 litres slightly different dimensions. I'm in no rush with this one. I'm going to have a similar scape but with a sand substrate and plant soil under it in the island.
