Cheers, Thank you for all the help so far.

Found a little snail surfing the glass last night (which I am very happy about). As this is a pea puffer tank hopefully the snails population will increase whilst I cycle so I can see some nice hunting action.

Plus if I manage to grab a few before the real occupants arrive to 'seek and destroy' I can setup my snail breeding bucket/tank like the old days.

Tested and
Ammonia:2ppm (I dont seem to be getting any drops but Nitrite is going up...weird)
Nitrite: 5ppm
Nitrate: 40-80ppm (guessing my ferts are bumping that up)
That's better, well done ::thumbu::

Pest snails arived today (lovely mix of bladder and ramshorn) Thank you Redpanda.

Night plan now to test the water and then a waterchange. I might change to TNC lite as my nitrates are very high despite good plant growth.

Nice looking pea tank!

I recently got a small shoal of peas as well, fascinating little fish.

Have you got your co2 yet? If not have a look for an out of date co2 fire extinguisher on facebook market place or ebay, I paid £100 for my first bottle of co2 which I got from a lfs but paid £12 for a fire extinguisher which does the job just as well.

Did you test the tapwater to see if that 0.25ppm ammonia is a "false" reading, I can't remember?
