Remember back in May this year
Stephen wrote: Wed May 26, 2021 10:19 am The bad news is the new tubes did not work so the light unit is broken, well one of the ballasts don't work. ::damnit::

Edit:
New light unit ordered. ::thumbu::
Well the other light unit has now gone. :@

The Aqua One Aquience 1800R has 2 x light units each holding 4 tubes; 2 x 22 inch (24W) and 2 x 34 inch (39W).
Another light unit will cost around £200 (cheapest on internet).
I know the unit is just over 5 years old but hoped they would last a bit longer.
I can't believe the aquarium is just over 5 years old, seems like yesterday when I started my original log (started elsewhere) and re-created my log here 3 years ago.
Where has the time gone ?

These LED?

Most manufacturers say LED lifespan is around five years.

They are T5 but I had LED compatibles in this unit but the LEDs are not 5 years old. It's the ballast that's gone (again).

These are captive bred.
I lost another over-night. :(
All the losses are from the same batch.

No symptoms.
I looked at Paul's posts and he sold all his Corydoras burgessi about 20 months ago (some went to Aqualife).

I'll phone Aqualife shortly.
