Not actually to do with my tanks, but while we we’re dropping off some easter eggs for our niece, godson (yep someone was daft enough to make me a godfather 😈), and my OHs cousin’s kids, I got a short video of my OH’s Uncle’s pond, he’s moved it about a bit since I last seen it and he will likely move and adjust it again.
Either way some of the fish are 11-13years old and the white one weighs 12lb (5.5kg~) 😱

I'm always impressed by the size some of the sturgeon get in these garden centres and pond suppliers. It must be quite stressful taking a fish back home that's cost hundreds.

So after catching covid and isolating (nothing serious fortunately), and getting given a load of crap at work on my return :dodgy: (I wont start we’ll be here all day!) this lot did perk me up a bit last night.
They all seem to be growing well, they can be a bit aggro with one another but thats cichlids and siblings for you  but they do seem to get on really well otherwise, no real issues :)
The only thing im worried about is water changes which ill catch up on this weekend hopefully, because my OH wouldnt let me do any while I was ill.
You get to see all 8 fry in the video, which is a nice change :)

Thanks Stephen
I didn’t mention it on here until now, mainly because I was just hoping it was going to be mild and didnt want to jinx myself. Fortunately I did only have mild symptoms (temperature, feeling sick, and then like a cold sniffing and coughing for 4/5days).
Anyway there are 8 fry (batch 4 I want to say) that are in the video, who all look female, in the 45l in the living room is Villanelle (another female, batch 1(?)) who had a sibling that died very young, possibly because there was only 2 of them?
And then finally Nine who is the only male in my 100l, he’s batch 2/3/4, we have no idea because he was in with Mallory (his mum) for god knows how long and we only seen him because she was chasing him 😳
So 10 fry in total across 3 tanks because they’re different batches, but they’re all cacatuoides and all Mickey and Mallory’s kids, so gold bodied (Mickey) and standard (Mallory) bodied colours, and i think Mallory is an orange/orange flash fin colour :)
I’ll stop rambling now :D

Just realised I hadn’t put up my TOTM entry pic and the couple of pics I caught of Villanelle :)
She has some colour/pattern in her tail like her mum :D

Yep :)
She’s the oldest of the fry (batch 1) and the only one from that group.
Current all the fish I have except Mallory and Sarah, I’ve raised from fry :)
