ROFL i enjoy finding them, generally means they’re happy plants, although tbf java ferns are pretty unfussy. I left one in a tank which wasn’t running for a while, only had a couple of leaves left, but soon sprung back into life when i found it and moved it :D
I love the leaves, I just think the roots are really ugly!

So finished the water changes and cleans in the two smaller tanks yesterday.
There’s still some clumps of algae in the fry tank but I’m not too worried as they use it as food and I’m planning on doing an extra small change or two to remove a bit more. Its hard work because it gets caught in al the stems and leaves
Villanelle has grown quite well and is looking like a proper little adult now :)
The fry are also starting to show a bit more dimorphism, if I’ve counted right (ive counted 7 and then 8 in there so im not sure) but when i counted 7 it looked like 4 females and 3 males to me, but a bit more time will tell :)
I also remembered to order some screwcumbers (finally). Probably just as well as my tweezers have both come apart and the surface where the join was looks questionable, and I’ve been using my dosing spoons to weigh stuff down for Sarah.
Either way she seems happy munching on a massive broccoli stalk :)

Also for your viewing pleasure (or if you have 5-6mins to waste :D) I have a couple of videos of Nine, Villanelle and the fry :)
I warn you all now about the music, the app I use allowed me to use some songs from my iTunes library :D
Enjoy!

I thought I’d catch him while I could ROFL
He’s got quite adventurous lately, they seem to get to that age and realise they’re safe and get brave enough to come out more :)

Count yourself lucky, I nearly used more Graveyard Bbq, until i was editing the video (and just as well I always play them through before posting) and the lyrics consisted of “ 🤬🤬🤬🤬 you all...” and “baddest m🤬🤬:D
Weirdly they’re the ones I’m allowed to use ROFL

Not much to report, things are ticking over quietly :)
There’s definitely 8 fry in the 65l, all are doing well, although there is some size difference as you’d expect :D
Nine has been very bold lately, always coming right up to the surface at feeding or right up to the glass to see who’s looking in on him. So we thought we’d try something, as you can see it went quite well :D

Otherwise here’s a couple of pics of Nine, he’s turning into quite a very vivid male :) he also has a happier looking face than Jayne ROFL
