Thanks. He is my favourite of the bunch. He has a slightly deformed dorsal fin where it isn't entirely straight at the top. Hard to gauge size in a photo but I'd guess he's about 4.5" front to back, and 5" top to bottom so getting to a decent size now. Now I have two pairs, both of the males are developing noticable nuchal humps as well.
BigBens Restart.

Howdy, been a while again. Hope everyone is good!
I've finally managed to redo my angel tank. I've moved all of the Cory's that were left into my 125 so I could redo the substrate except two C123's, as they would not be caught. I'm fairly happy with the results. All the plants are recycled from elsewhere in the garage which is handy as I was going to buy loads. Will look great once the Trident Ferns grow large. I've managed to get a couple caves in the rockwork that look a similar colour now they've been algae'd for a while.
Will be new fish at the weekend, I only have two Keyholes and 4 Angels (and the speedy Cory's) in there as I lost motivation to buy stuff after the holiday disaster. Fishkeeper SW had some incredible fish when I went this weekend, certainly worth travelling for for those into their catfish.

How do the four angels get on in there? I have four in a 280l tank, they have formed two pairs and fight a lot.

I'm lucky. Really lucky. I also have two pairs and no trouble. They tend to spawn at the same time at different ends of the tank so don't come into contact with each other. I have occasionally seen a bit of lip locking but not for long. I would love to add two more but I think it will upset the balance.LookoutTrout wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 14:20 pm How do the four angels get on in there? SW Water (clowns) are saying that it's just sediment build up and to run the taps for an hour to clear it. Apparently the colour is likely to be iron and manganese, which appears to be aquarium safe so I'll top up in the morning.

Never had brown water unless there's been roadworks to repair the water supply locally. I'd suggest boiling it before you drink it, better safe than sorry.BigBen wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 8:10 amThey do run off refunds it says online. Interestingly, I've had the results back from our water which tasted metallic. Southern Water have tried telling me the results are safe to use, yet I found out quite a few people are complaining of the same problem in our area.
Looking at my water test results, it's funny how there are same as their posted water tests online ...from last year!
Personally, I do not trust any said from our water company anymore.

Definitely won't be drinking it. I've bought some bottles to see us through. I could do with it running clear now to be honest so I can top the tanks up after the water changes last night.Martinspuddle wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 9:31 amNever had brown water unless there's been roadworks to repair the water supply locally.
