Hi all,
Was looking for a little more information on what it's like to keep these? From what I hear they're quite prone to hiding away is this true?
Also does anyone keep them with corydoras? Wondered if they might out-compete Corys for food?
Do they need to be kept in a longer tank?
Thanks

I bred several time these before. Are smaller than tetrazona. A schooling fish. But without the play instinct of the sumatra barbs.
The catfishes have rest.
The scales are smaller than those of tetrazona. This reduces the risk of ichthyophorus.

No it doesn’t.
Most ‘pentazona’ barbs sold are actually hexazona barbs, although maintenance is the same for both.
They’re less bold than tigers but in a tank to their liking they’re not particularly shy.

I've also seen reports of them bullying corys at feeding time, but most of the time they're pretty peaceful.
