Hi all,

Does this picture look like some kind of internal worm/parasite to you guys?

One died gradually over a week or 2 but I didnt see the poop of the one that died. She had no other visible signs apart from clamping, less active and finally swim bladder at the end.

I tried salt in hospital tank as I didnt see the poops at first obviously it didnt work :(

I didnt see it before the one died but now I can see the poops of some of them looking like the picture attached.

Is it related? One more looks like she doesnt have long left also.

What medicine would be good if so? (Ones you can actually get in UK)

Image

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 25
PH 8
Hard water
74 degrees
72 litres

Thanks all

It does look strange, even for a livebearer.
I'd try Waterlife Sterazin for internal problems.

If no others like snails and shrimps then you can use pretty much use any thing... I'm using Aquacare Swimbladder Treatment... so I seen changes in the more lively fish... but one on it side no change... It only been 3 days since I started treatment... poo is almost the same just more transparent... best thing to do is Take a tube of water to LFS tell them the problem you have and if they can test water for you... Then they give you best medication they have or feel that will help...

The guy at the fish shop thinks I should use Flubendazole and @plankton suggests Sterazin.

I don't know which one to use??

I have brought both of them today.

Can I use both at same time?

Any further suggestions?

Ty

I don't think you can use both as it be over dosing the tank... and if you it read pretty sure it say don't use any other medication while using this one.
