It may actually be too hard for guppies long-term. Because of the way they been bred they tend to do better in only slightly hard water.
The problems look like either tumours or genetic deformities. If they are the latter then I'm surprised they've survived this long.
I do get this from time-to-time, but I don't necessarily see it as a problem problem, just something that happens (as with all animals).
What is this swelling on my fishes back/dorsal area?

2 of the of the girls have scoliosis which is genetic I think since they had it since forever. But they are still alive and well even after 1 year.
