ah yes, they were in a breeding box within the qtank... I guess the "main" tank is a bit confusing!

Anyone bred these before who can tell me if they are normally slow growing, or is it that they are in a small tank?

I think they may just be slow growing, rainbows seem to take a long time to grow and colour-up.

Getting there with these guys! I've stopped doing water changes so often as it doesn't seem to have had a huge impact

Randomly lost one of two... These are pretty hard to raise being so slow to grow!

Sorry to hear, but as you say they aren't the easiest to raise.

I found the last of the fry dead this morning,
I can only suspect I overfed the tetramin as there was still a little on the surface since last night's feed, but its very difficult to feed one fish and a baby one at that!

So that is the end of this part of the saga... 3 months and it probably wasnt even 1cm, so they are incredibly slow growing, possibly not in the right conditions, or perhaps poorly parents made for unhealthy kids.

I have my qtank back, think I'll give it a bit of a makeover while it is unstocked

Sorry to hear :(
At least you tried. Some species aren't so easy and need a lot of work.
