So getting quite old then.....maybe it's just how they go as they age, the rest (especially the stomach) looks fine.

Yeah it's quite the character and the kids love it but I'll be glad when the day comes that I don't have to deal with the grumpiness or constant poop.

Do you think it would be an idea to just constantly have a bit of veg in there that I just replace every day?
Is there a need to blanche or just chuck a chunk in raw with a screwcumber?
If the veg isn't organic will the skin of courgettes/cucumbers be ok with a rinse?
Not sure if continual veg would help calm it down or just promote continual food aggression. It can be quite targeted. Feel like I don't want it in the tank any more but I'm feeling a bit guilt-tripped into keeping it because it's been in the family for so long.
Doesn't help the tanks in the living room so I see it happening constantly.

All I do is rinse veg and then pop it in on the screwcumber.
