Hi I got up this morning to find my flame tetras behaviour A lot different then usual. There seems to be a lot of aggression especially in-between the live plants, I have been trying to find any info online but with no joy. I did take a video but I don't think I can upload it on here. Total number is 7 of the flames, plus they are not showing Aggression to any other fish in the tank.

Looks like either males sparring or spawning behaviour to me.

There is normally a dominance sparring especially the males trying to get the attention of females.
If the group is large enough (10+) then this shouldn't be a problem but more of an interesting behaviour to observe.

All the best

There not much wrong with aquarium parameters if your fish are behaving like that. :]

hi
There is probably more sex and violence in an aquarium than on tv. I think that is what you are getting.

It's normal mating behavior. H. flammeus are easy to grow. You should set them up in a basin of 20 over coarse gravel. 1 floating plant. always 2 males, 1 female.
When done, remove the parents. When hatching, fine pond food, rotatoria, later Artemia nauplii.
