Not been out in the garden for a week as it's been quite rainy here,
Today did some titivation in the mini pond, really pleased with how it's looking and how the plants have grown, but crikey there was lots of mosquito larvae in there, didn't see any last weekend and all look the same size so must be fairly recent,

Have some white cloud minnows that have been in the QT tank 9 days today, was going to put them out next week but could do it tomorrow, question is will they eat these larvae? The only other fish I have that could maybe go in there are leopard danios but wasn't planning on it, or should I be doing something else before putting the fish in?
I also tested out my little solar powered air stone, and was quite impressed by how good it was so that's ready now to go in when the fish do.
Larvae is in middle of close up picture.

I would expect the minnow will love the mosquito larvae. You can also scoop some out with a net and feed your other fish - its basically free live food. My endlers love them and my neons try to get to them but can only manage the smaller ones,

Thanks @Ric
Tomorrow is looking busier than I expected! Will net a load out for the indoor tanks and then unleash the minnows, haha, at least I know they will not need feeding for a while :)

You could always feed the minnows in their quarantine tank, just to check they can actually eat the larvae.

I wondered what they were. I've got a big tub in the garden I've been trying to harvest daphnia from, but it's become infested with these things. I was pretty sure they were fair-game for the fish so my rams have been smashing them for the past couple of weeks. Horrible looking things, but good entertainment in the big tank. The rams properly stalk them down.

minnows are having a great time out in the pond, plus I netted a load out which the other tanks will be getting shortly :)

I think all fish love mosquito larvae, it's a real treat..... in fact, by the time you read this l doubt there are any left. I hope there aren't ant Dragon fly lava in there or the tables will be turned on those little Minnows. 🤣
Best wishes as always,
The Lazy Saint.
