What are the postage/courier costs for TropCo? I can’t find anything on their site (I may not be looking in the right place of course) so it looks like I have to create an account to put together an order to see..

Abyss Aquatics in Stockport do courier deliveries now. They have a very good range (lots of rarer things you may not find elsewhere) and the quality of their in-store stock is excellent. I have never used their delivery service so can't vouch for it, and their customer service is hit and miss, but one to look into.
I always prefer to make a trip and collect if at all possible though.

This is fascinating - I've ordered plants online but I’ve never considered ordering fish online, I just assumed courier delivery was for speciality/breeders etc. Is it something many of the forum members have done? Is it overnight delivery? How do the fish cope with it? And what is the benefit compared to trundling down to the LFS?

i think im have to try and them in wales who deliverVikingMummy2015 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 12:11 pm I found a lot of decent TROPCO reviews and did actually order from them. But they had to cancel because i’m about 20 miles north of their furthest delivery point (NE Scotland). Sweet Knowles is another i’ve Looked at and Riverpark (Glasgow) gets good reviews from Scottish fishkeepers I know.

I have done it once for discus because there isn't a specialist near me and I'm really want some apistogramma borelli which I might have to get online, but other than that I enjoy going around the shops to pick my fish. Sweet shop mentality. The fish are fine, they're in bags in a polystyrene box with a heat pack. Far less stressful than the trips into the country considering most fish here are from Eastern Europe, or wild.Wishafish wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 17:35 pm This is fascinating - I've ordered plants online but I’ve never considered ordering fish online, I just assumed courier delivery was for speciality/breeders etc. Is it something many of the forum members have done?
