Thank you mate. Have to say although they (prime aquariums/nd aquatics) pissed me off taking so long I'll give it to them that they build nice solid tanks. They just need to work on their customer service a little bit. Looking forward to setting it up, can't start filling it until the 15th!

I'm going to try and do a mixed reef tank and see how it goes. I know nothing about corals at the min. Fish wise all I know is I want a couple of clown fish a yellow tang and not sure what else yet!

That's better, you must cure your live rock first, cycle the aquarium and be patient.
Soft corals are the easiest to start with, Button polyps, Finger leather coral, Mushroom anemones, Pulsing Xenia, Star polyps, Sarcophyton leather corals and Zoanthid corals or Zoas.
Clean up crew, Cleaner Shrimps, Red hermit crabs and Turbo snails.

Above, my old reef aquarium.
Remember, reefkeepers do it slowly, it's the nature of the beast, always research, research and research again and also never be tempted to buy on impulse!

I have dry rock which I planned to put in I take it I can set up as normal and allow it to cycle and turn it in to live rock that way, or is curing the rock something I have to do before the tank cycle? I will start slowly amd add slowly, my budget won't allow it any other way haha reefing is expensive! I have some dr tims bacteria and ammonia.Martinspuddle wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 0:16 am That's better, you must cure your live rock first, cycle the aquarium and be patient.

Thanks guys very pleased with it, I also got the pipe kit with the tank I spent most of last night plumbing it up I did the return, but they gave me wrong size pipework for the overflows! Shouldn't be 35mm they gave me 28mm. How long do people think I should wait before I wash the inside with warm water? The sticker says no fill until the 15th (tomorrow) but the tank was made last Friday and I collected Monday.
