Is having too many fish causing my tank to spike?

Test strips are never very accurate and you may be getting inaccurate readings from them, liquid test are by far better. What's your water supply like?

You could take a water sample down to you local aquatics, most test for free.

Test strips are a waste of money Jamie.

Your tank looks like its the same as my big tank. IMO you haven't got enough filtration for the bioload in there.

So what do you recommend for more filtration? I thought the canister and internal were enough (woops) another internal? Or another canister?

I'm running 2 canisters on angels delight. A fluvial fx6 and an oase biomaster 350. I also have a 2000lph circulation pump in the tank.

I'm still new to this haha

So if I put my other filter in il have 2 internal filters 1 x 1200lph and 1 x 1600 lph and my canister is the efx400 which runs 1400lph and tanks is 5ft long 400 litres, would that be enough? Sorry for all the questions just want the fish to live happily, They do all seem happy and healthy but don't want to lose any or make any ill.

Thanks for your info.
