Thanks for the Bonfire Begonia suggestion, picked one up when I was browsing the other day, it's brightening up my pot area no end now the Geraniums are going over,
Couple of pics one of a really lovely moth I disturbed when cutting back the Mock Orange, it has white flowers so the moth doesn't stand out as much as it perhaps appears,
plant that I forget about it was real small last year has gone a bit nuts and looks great I think it's a Trollius

From our Security Office, Milton Keynes.
A recent spate of thefts has been worrying local residents here, and police are baffled. Despite danger-to-life warnings clearly displayed on vulnerable items ...
... the thefts have continued. An initial investigation concluded that this is the work of professional criminals and that either their first language is not English or that they may be highly trained to ignore military-style notices.
Police have today received CCTV images showing a person of interest seen in the vicinity at the time of the most recent incident. This person is still at large and considered not a danger to the public. However the police are anxious to bring them to interview in order to eliminate them from enquiries :
There is a juicy reward for information leading to the arrest of this person. To claim the reward, or if you need advice on any issues arising from this investigation, call our helpline on 020 8992 4965.

Bear in mind this individual may have been framed. There are many thieves and pilferers at large (mice, blackbirds, etc) that would think nothing of standing by and letting an innocent bystander take the rap. Then again, he looks guilty so probably best for public safety to lock him up till he fesses. Guilty till proven innocent an’ all that.

Meet 'Tap it'
This is our friendly Coal Tit, who every day taps at our back windows. All we can think is that he or she can see it's reflection, there's no food on the window frame.
Unfortunately, this is closest I can get with the phone, otherwise the bird flies away on seeing my ugly mug.
Turn your volume up to hear him - Sorry about that shake and the heavy breathing.

Perhaps three or four years ago we bought a hedgehog house to see if we could attract one or more permanently to our garden and to reap the ensuing benefits of fewer slugs etc. I knew that hoggies visited because every time I set up the trail cam elsewhere in the garden overnight - there it/they were, snuffling around.
However nobody seemed interested in actually taking up residence and the hedgehog house gradually deteriorated.
It got to the point, a couple or three weeks ago, where I was contemplating whether to replace it (a triumph of expectation over experience!) or whether just to get rid of it altogether. I decided to replace - just in case - and lifted the lid to see what conditions were like inside.
Of course! (bottom-middle of pic) ...
I've now got loads of nightly videos of hedgehogs visiting the feeding/watering bowls that I've placed near the hoggy-house. From the differing sizes I'd say at least three.
[Ignore the date/time which I still haven't got right! That still was from video of two nights ago.]
One of them now lives in the house (s/he crawls out of bed currently at 2120 and retires at 0440).
I'm guessing that it'd be a good idea not to replace the house unless and until it does actually fall to pieces. Is that right?
Any hedgehog knowledge/experience gladly and gratefully received.

how fantastic! We used to have a large one that visited mine and several gardens across the road sadly it got run over, not sure if there are still any around, I put a house in for it which was ignored, although a mouse moved in for a while and like yours it fell apart after about 3 years, this does also remind me of the time several months ago when the dog refused to go outside for a last wee, on investigation there was a large toad sat on the back step!

In answer to the question I would try FB, there are FB groups for absolutely everything so I'm sure there must be one for Hedgehogs

I wouldn’t remove it until it’s damaged in some way that could affect the hoggies.
Personally I’d add a second house near the first and then remove the old one when definitely empty, but only once it was damaged. You don’t want a hog hibernating in there if it’s got any leaks or potential for mould/damp creeping in.
Source of knowledge: home educating my 9 year old and we had a unit on designing a hedgehog house (tunnel entrance to stop larger predators swiping a paw in, raised floor to keep it warmer, waterproof roof on a slope so water doesn’t pool and drip).
