:]
Hi everyone, I've recently overhauled my tank and i have deep cleaned it and got new equipment such as heater, filter bubble tube and led's. I have a very handsome red-tailed shark (bruce) who has been with me for a few years and at the moment. He has the tank all to himself. The tank has been set up as it us for about 6 weeks. I've done 1 partial water change 4 days ago.
I would really like to add more fish but I'm really not sure which would be the best as bruce has pretty much had the tank to himself for the last few years.
I know red-tailed sharks can be bullies but it would be nice to get fish who would be able to put up with him, if he decides to be a bully.
Thanks very much for reading

Hello and welcome to the forum.

How hard is your water, is it soft, hard or somewhere in between ?
If unsure then where are you located (town name only) as it can be looked up.

All the best

I belive it is 4ft long yes but i will measure when i get home.
Once we've got over the size and water hardness, which fish does everyone thing would be best. I have looked online but its conflicting to which ones would be best.

I would suggest barbs of some kind (probably tigers) which will be more able to stick up for themselves.
What substrate do you have - sand or gravel?
