Sewillia

Post by Art »

Sewellia

These fish were unknown to me. I received them from a breeder whom I had brought aquatic plants to.
I saw them as algae - and herbivores. Like the Plecos. They lived and were content.
But maybe they weren't happy.
Once, when I caught nice pond food, they got some of it.
The result was that they became livelier and chased each other.
One day some fry appeared. I noticed that there was sometimes foam in the surface plants.
It looked like a foam nest. It was on the side of the lesser current.
More and more young fish of various sizes appeared.
They got along well with the current. Even the little ones. They were driven a little and reattached.
Perhaps fish that attach themselves need to have a current.
Of course, they continue to receive live food.
There is little to read about it. I will continue to watch what happens.

Wow! Well done Art! :D
Being hillstream fish they love cooler, fast water as a rule, but didn't realise live food would condition to spawn.
