Thanks Stephen.
I am going to go ahead and change the substrate, I'm reluctant because this has cost me a lot of money.
I just tried to add a bit of water in the tank as I lost a bit due to evaporation, and now the Manado is all flowing on the top of the tank.
I'm half tempted to complain to the shop for selling it to me. I don't really understand why is has so many 5 star reviews online.
The site you linked looks really good.

I'm very intrigued by the Samoa fine sand for something a bit more natural-looking but not too light, I might try a small bag of It in one corner of my tank, worst case scenario is I don't like how it looks and it can just mix in with my Unipac Limpopo.

Hi Steven
I took your advice and changed the substrate, Jesus what a job that is. I got home from work at 6pm and saw the delivery and couldnt wait, I got stuck in. Finished it at 9.30pm and I have to say it looks so much better and no floating problems.
Bought exactly what you suggested.
Not sure if this will mess with my cycle but it's definitely worth it.
