@Gingerlove05 Not seen them either except in pictures, they do look fabulous but sadly they are a separate species and need softer water - I already checked!

Thanks Staffy, the wood was a bargain £14 from the Range. I got 2 pieces the one in the tank is bogwood the other is mopani both a good size.

I've had Black Emperors for a couple of years, I have 8 at the moment. They are a strange fish not like other Tetra's, they do not shoal, grow to a good size, are very territorial and a bit bad tempered. My favourite fish.
