Yesterday Mister (my male apistogramma) had a long, stringy poo that seemed to be attached for a while. It’s gone today and he has been eating fine. What is this typically an indication of?
It’s hard to get a definitive answer when reading things online. There’s a lot of “sources” that point automatically to parasites.
Could it just be a digestion issue?

If it was normal colour, it’s probably just a “digestion issue”, as you say. Maybe it needs more variety, or it was a not very suitable food. Live foods are a great laxative, and provide things other foods probably lack.

White usually means Capillaria, an intestinal worm.
