Andys temperate tank is no longer.

After gradually losing and moving the fish in our kitchen tank it is now re stocked. We have 18 golden tetra (these fish are only golden in the wild due to something that happens to them but I really like them.)

And yesterday Zarra picked a pair of electric blue rams because she has always wanted blue fish. They are lovely.

Nice Andy :)
I just had a read as I remember hearing/seeing something about the colour on some fish.
With these tetra in some areas they inhabit there’s a type of parasite that reacts with their skin to cause the gold colouring :)
To the tune of “the saints go marching in”:
Oh fluffy sheep! Oh fluffy sheep! Oh fluffy sheep are wonderful, they’re white Welsh and fluffy! Oh fluffy sheep are wonderful!

Lovely! I do like Rams but they don’t do too well in our harder water ( I know Bolivians do better ).

Tank still looks lovely, and that ram is very vibrant :) For some reason your pictures won't enlarge for me, I get this issue sometimes, yet others in other posts will load fine, anyone know why??

I'm lucky Matt. My tap water measures 95 tds. The tanks sit about 80-85.

I have gold tetra with the pygmeus corys.
They do still have sparse gold dots, and beautiful blue edges to the fins. ;)

They are a lovely little fish when they catch the light just right.

Yesterday I took the smaller electric blue ram out of the kitchen tank. I'm fairly certain we have 2 males and the small one was being bullied or in hiding.

I've put the smaller one in angels delight where we have 2 german blues that we think are both female. Will the 3 rams interact or will they keep to themselves?
