At the moment, I'm loving the hobby as much as I ever have, however since our return to Cornwall I have found the shops very uninspiring (except Trimar is really getting me thinking about cichlids!). My local MA is about two miles away, but has tanks full of tetras and Bronze Cory's, all rather dull.
I know of some shops with good reputations for mail order fish, however I'd like to widen my search. I know of Pier aquatics, tropco (big selection but bread and butter for my interests) and Corys4U. Can anybody else recommend any gooduns?
Cheers!

Aqualife, Leyland have a huge selection of fish for a small shop, geared up for online sales, and a good rep. They get a lot of their fish from Ruinemans.
I don't keep fish, I keep water. Water keeps fish.

You could try The Fish Barn , Crawley, small shop, has some unusual stock, seems good, very helpful the 1 time I used it, and delivery was no hassle, I have also used Abyss, they have been very good for dry goods, but the 1 time I got fish it was a bit of a nightmare, totally the fault of the courier but still off putting, nothing wrong with the fish, well 1 was DOA which got reimbursed but I still have the rest - it was my Snyders Barbs, I have paid a visit to pier in person - it's not good for your wallet! Safer online but a very good shop

Re: Online shops.
Thanks, I know of these. Jason's is marine only and Cornwall aquatics is a dry goods wholesaler. Kernow aquatics "isn't the best", I would say. The Maidenhead aquatics is one of the worst I've visited, very dull and poorly maintained, but totally tropical is good. It is a very small shop, I tend to keep an eye on it as they do get some rare fish, but sometimes it doesn't have a lot in. I guess that's the joy of a small shop. Half of my problem is I'm incredibly fussy and I judge a shop by the condition of its Cory's as it's what I know bestLo1 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 24, 2022 13:24 pm There are a couple more shops near you:

It's a shame what's happened to Truro MA. When I used to visit and had a look around it was one of the best and tauntons was a little dull. Now Taunton is one of the best and Truro is dull and not particularly clean
