Once they establish they'll be fine, just make sure they don't over-dry in this weather......

Yeah, three waters a day at the moment as the ground is very dry up there. So far they are holding up!
Loads of mosquito larvae already and the odd dragon fly perching on the wood
As you can see, I’ve made use of the corbo root!

Looks great creeping jenny is a good plant can go in the pond itself or plant on the edge to cover the stones and trail into the water, also I put 2 bags of supermarket water cress in my pond most has survived it gives cheap and quick cover and even puts out little flowers, I also like Heuchera and have several in the garden but none round the pond though, very envious of your dragon fly I don't see any at my pond.

Creeping Jenny was something I thought about, but ended up with Phlox instead in 4 colours
You never know, I might still put some down
*edit*
Turns out I found someone selling a tray of creeping Jenny, so I’ve bought it

Just did a quick 40 miles to pick up a dwarf water lily
Within seconds of putting it in, the mosquito larvae were all over the leaves.
It’s in the deports pocket at 40cm, which is well in the range of 30 - 60cm

Jeez these dwarf lilies grow quickly!
I woke up to find another leaf already
The water is dark thanks to the corbo root that’s leaching tannings like there’s no tomorrow. Looks like someone’s emptied a bottle of oil into it.
I might give it a water change later as there’s a fair bit of soil on the bottom from the stupid pigeons digging around.
Oh and @Martinspuddle notice the blade of grass is growing?
