Does make you wonder if you stuck a hydrophone in your freshwater aquarium what noises your inhabitants make compared to a reef aquarium.

That is indeed impressive, but I bet they're not as loud as loaches when they start clicking and sound as though they're breaking the glass! ;) :D
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! :D

Not fresh water but think a Pistol Shrimp (Alpheus sp) might be a tad be louder. :grin:

I think it said in the report that pistol shrimps can hit around 200db, technically you’d be less deafened if a gun went off next to your ear lol
It is an impressive noise though for something around 15mm long!
To the tune of “the saints go marching in”:
