At least the red cherries would be ok with tap water in another tank....
Just to explain in more detail about the shrimp, caradina will need soft water with a source of calcium, and neocaradina hard water and shouldn't need a calcium supply unless it's not that hard - you should be ok though with neos.

Make sure to purchase a TDS (Total Dissolve Solids) meter. No point in guessing the levels and they are not expensive either.
Rather than using Seachem equilibrium, you can save money and use tapwater to balance the parameters using a 40% tap with 60% RO water mix.

Oh and remember to keep the membraines wet if your not perminently plumbing it in. If they dry out you'll need to replace them.
Thanks all for the info so far!
So, I have got the hard water under control by mixing some RO/DI water in until I get the right level. PH is still the same, so that's good (Although I will try and reduce it to about 7.5).
I've been thinking about all the advice you all have given. I am going to not go for the Rummynose. Do you think Celestial Pearl Danio's would work well? I was thinking 5-6. Do you also think the copper harlequins will be okay or am I better going for one of the smaller rasboras such as chillis?
Regarding the Otos, my tank is already full of algae. It gets some indirect light in the daytime, but it seems to have been enough for the algae, or am I missing something? Would that be okay for the Otos? Will they take other foods such as algae wafers? I have read a bit about them being picky eaters, but my understanding was they would still take some foods. Let me know if I'm wrong!
So, this is what I am thinking, and feel free to adjust it:
5-6 Danio
6 Harelquins (or other if you suggest smaller rasbora)
3 Honey Gourami
6 Otos (or if you still think they are a bad idea some corys)
2 Amano shrimp
10-15 RC or other shrimp
2 Nerite snails
After viewing the parameters on AQAdvisor I was thinking:
23-24 Celsius
Around 7.5 PH
GH between 8-10
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks!

Forget about including the shrimp on your stocking list, they have little or no bioload and don't effect your stocking levels in your aquarium.

Yeah, I figured that. What do you think about the fish mentioned?

Which Danio species are you thinking of, only Honey Gourami's (Trichogaster chuna) don't really appreciate fast moving species housed with them.

Celestine pearl danio. It’s not fast moving. It’s a shy calmer fish.Martinspuddle wrote: Thu May 16, 2024 23:25 pmWhich Danio species are you thinking of, only Honey Gourami's (Trichogaster chuna) don't really appreciate fast moving species housed with them.

They can be calm, although males will chase each other quite frantically when the mood takes them. Its impressive to watch but hard to keep up with.adamzam15 wrote: Thu May 16, 2024 23:49 pmCelestine pearl danio. It’s not fast moving. To the tune of “the saints go marching in”:
Oh fluffy sheep! Oh fluffy sheep! Oh fluffy sheep are wonderful, they’re white Welsh and fluffy! Oh fluffy sheep are wonderful!

Be very wary of the gourami - I've tried to keep them with a dGH of 7.8, without much success...
