So this is the second one of these I've found in the tank the last few days. Couldn't get it to stay still next to ruler for scale, but it's about 8mm long, forked end is the rear by it's movements
I'm hoping it's a bloodworm after a midge has found the tank, but I've obviously looked online and praying it's not a Camallanus. It was free swimming nowhere near a fish, and I've checked all of the fish for anything around their anus and can't spot anything strange. It's just very pale compared to library images of a bloodworm.

It's almost definitely an insect larva. Certainly not any kind of 'worm'.

Thanks, I thought so but a 2nd opinion is always worth it.
I'm pretty good at jumping from the logical (bright LEDs, dark outside, window open, insect magnet even with curtains drawn) to worst case scenario
