So, 3 weeks on and I have fry again. My convict and polar parrot are ver amorous!
I'm not very eager to raise the fry but the wife is. I have a small breeding box I can hook on the edge of the tank.
Or would they survive in with my fighter fish? He has trouble chasing a food ball let alone a fry!
Just saves me setting up a Qt tank for months.
Otherwise I'll just let nature take its course I think

Sorry to hear you lost them but maybe a good thing, Convicts cichlids are like Guppies ...a breeding nuisance!
WARNING - DO NOT BREED, FEED OR PET THE PUDDLE!

You could try some with the betta, but remember to move them out as they grow or they'll be all over the betta's fins.....

Yeah, I think if by the time I get home there's any left I'll put them in with fighty.
One of the Oscars (nicked named Dyson) is hoovering them all up, despite a gallant effort from the convict to stop him

Congratulations (belatedly) on your breeding successes
(...any reason why you have hidden this in the Aquarium Decor/DIY/Equipment section, though? )

Haha sorry, on my phone it's difficult to sort through the forum. It's definitely not user error!
Got about 40 fry left on day 5 of the second batch.
The 4 I put in with fighty he ate! I've never seen him move so fast!

No food for him for a couple of days then!
