Sorry to hear about the male goby. :(
You seem to have a nice tank still. :)

I have installed my AI hydra 32 and got it working.
The tank now looks a bit like this:

Having got frustrated with lockdown I decided to order a couple of frags for the tank. APC deliveries are on a waiting list at the moment so I wasn’t expecting them quickly. But it turns out the seller only lives 5 miles away so he arranged to drop them off less that 24 hours after I ordered them!
Anyway, they’re in and they’re not dead yet.

They were sold as Porites which they could well be but I’m hoping the polyps will show themselves so I can get some confirmation of that. They’re slightly different colours but both pink/purple ish.

These are just quick snaps with the phone. When/if the polyps extend I will get the proper camera and yellow filter out for some better pics.

Here’s a look into the burrow engineered by my pistol shrimp. It changes every day, but this looks a particularly well-built adit!

A few days ago I bought another coral for my Maldivian tank - a Fungia. This is a small tank-spawned one, the skeleton is about the size of a £2 coin but it expands to more than that. It seems to have settled in OK so far and has accepted a couple of feeds. It's more colourful than it looked on the advert!

Sadly, I seem to have failed rather quickly. The coral was doing very well but despite my efforts to wall it off, the tiger pistol shrimp has stolen it and buried it somewhere under the rockwork. Damn!

Pardon my ignorance when it comes to marine life: does that mean it has become dinner or part of the building structure?

Part of the structure I expect, buried deep under the rockwork and not worth ripping it all apart to get to.
My fault for underestimating the shrimp!

Good news is that the fungia reappeared in the spoil heap, and I think it may still be alive. I will try and nurse it back.
