To finish the deviation from the subject I started, it's likely to change to lineage 5, if it hasn't already: https://www.scotcat.com/callichthyidae/ ... diatus.htm

Corydoras barbatus, which since 2003 is no longer defined as a Corydoras, so now called Scleromystax barbatus.
Sorry folks, as far as I'm concerned it's Corydoras.

If at first you don't succeed....

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

Well until some boffin with nothing better to do than wind up fishkeepers, decides to change it's name, species or category again.plankton wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 8:48 amIt's still corydoradinae...Martinspuddle wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2024 20:26 pm Corydoras barbatus, which since 2003 is no longer defined as a Corydoras, so now called Scleromystax barbatus.

It's like I saw Brochis splendens in my LFS but now I see the name had been changed to Corydoras splendens ...I give up @plankton!

For me would have to be the Emeralds/ Splendens, I currently keep them and they have been great, they keep to the back half of the tank like most Cory but are easy enough to see with good size and great colour,
Schwartzi would have to be second choice kept them years ago really liked them,
Nattereri I don't currently keep but is on my wish list as they are a hard water tolerant cory that is even found in estuaries, but they are so expensive!
Orange Venezuela are small confident and active, plus hard water tolerant, great for a smaller tank but mine have been a bit 'lost' in the bigger tank plus it's hard to find ones that have a good amount of orange on them, all Cory are nice in their own way and look amazing in bigger groups
